I am a bilingual Educational Psychologist registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).

My journey as an Educational Psychologist began with completing my undergraduate degree at the University of Johannesburg. I was appointed as a Training Officer at Medihelp and this is when I realise that my passion is with helping people.  I enrolled at UNISA for a Higher Education Diploma.  I then went on to complete an Honours and Masters degree in Educational Psychology at the University of Pretoria.

More About Us

Prior to my career as an Educational Psychologist, I was providing in house training programmes.  There after I embarked on the journey as educator at High Schools where I taught Afrikaans (Home Language and First Additional Language), Life Sciences and Life Orientation.

I did my internship year at the UP’s Child and adolescent Guidance Centre.  I gained experience in general therapeutic techniques and assessments.  I have also completed training in various forms of therapeutic approaches.

After completing my Internship, I became part of the Support team at Willowridge High School in Pretoria on a full time basis.  After a few years I decided to spread my wings and moved to Hoërskool Waterkloof to become part time school psychologist.

I was keenly interested in the medico-legal field and when I finally decided to enter private practice on a full time basis, it was mainly in this field.

I have expanded my expertise and experience from a range of assessments and individual therapy with young children, adolescents, and adults and became quite familiar with the inside of a court room as expert witness.

My passion for learning has also brought me to the doorstep of Neuropsychology, which remains a key interest and a personal goal to further educate myself in this field.

I also specialise in Child & Family Mediation (including parenting plans) and Parental reunification.

I conduct assessments, therapy and mediation in both English and Afrikaans. With the assistance of a permently employed interpreter, assessments can also be conducted in the official languages of South Africa.

My range of services include:

  • Online Therapy (Telemental Health)
  • Individual Psycho-therapy for adolescents and adults
  • Play Therapy for children comfortable to work through an online platform.
    • Assessments: Psycho-Educational Assessments, Diagnostic Learning Difficulty Assessments, School Readiness Assessments, School Placement Assessments, Subject Choice Assessments (i.e. Grade 9 learners), Career Guidance Assessments (i.e. Grade 11/12 learners looking toward Tertiary Education & Adults looking to change their career path) and Vocational Assessments, Concession & Accommodation Assessments (in accordance with the IEB, SACAI, GDE / DBE), Medico-Legal Assessments, Medical Negligence Assessments, Child & Family Mediation & Parenting Plans and Voice of the Child Assessments.
    • Assistance with the drafting of Parenting Plans (including Residency; Contact; & Parental Rights & Responsibilities)
    • Parental Mediation
    • In the early years of my career I have also presented various training courses and workshops to educators from the Gauteng and Mpumulanga Department of Education.
    • I love to share my knowledge and have been on TV and radio shows and published in various magazines. I’m also often guess speaker at schools.
